Poker
There are many variations on the popular game of poker. In the common five-card poker game, winning hands are those ranked the highest against other players or the dealer. The list below details the ranks for each hand, from highest to lowest.
(1) An Ace-high straight flush-Also known as a "Royal Flush."
(2) Straight Flush-Five cards of same suit in sequence.
(3) Four-of-a-Kind-Four cards of the same rank.
(4) Full House-Three cards of same rank and two cards of same rank.
(5) Flush-Five cards of same suit.
(6) Straight-Five cards in sequence.
(7) Three of a Kind-Three cards of the same rank.
(8) Two Pair-Two cards of same rank and two other cards of same rank.
(9) One Pair-Two cards of same rank.
(10) High Card-The highest ranking card in the hand.
In poker, all suits are of equal value. If two or more hands are tied in a category, the tie is broken by the rank of the unmatched cards in a hand.
